Orange Toast at Malakays Long Beach

May 9, 2014 By //  by Jay Valento Leave a Comment

Thinking of breakfast this morning in Long Beach?  When I do, I go to Malarkays Grill at 168 N. Marine Drive next to Khourys and have Orange Toast.  Ask for the happy waitress Lori when you have breakfast in the morning on Saturday or Sundays starting at 8 am.  There phone number is 562-598-9431.

What is Malarkys Orange Toast?

It is toast made with oranges.  It tastes great with warm melted butter that just melts in your mouth….aww….so make sure to order some in place of regular toast….and share with us how you like it.

The Best Mocha’s in Long Beach & Seal Beach

March 26, 2011 By //  by Jay Valento 2 Comments

I like chocolate.  I have to admit it.  Now, I’m not a big coffee drinker but when I have the desire to have a pick me up, I turn to a cafe mocha.  After sampling different places, I determined that some of the popular coffee shops have a burnt taste to their mocha’s.  So, I have set out to find the best mocha’s in Long Beach and a couple of the surrounding cities.

Best Coffee Mocha’s in Long Beach and Seal Beach

  1. Aroma di Roma – features the “Mocha Angelo” at 5327 East 2nd Street in Long Beach
  2. Javantinis Expresso at 148 Main Street in Seal Beach
  3. Babette’s Feast – 4621 E. 2nd Street in Long Beach – add whip to your mocha…it melts in your mouth
  4. Pollys Gourmet Coffee at 4606 East 2nd Street
  5. Bogart’s Coffee House at 905 Ocean Avenue, Seal Beach CA  – organic coffee
  6. The Crema Cafe at 322 Main Street in Seal Beach
  7. Whole Foods – Mocha
  8. Hot Java at 2101 Broadway

Which ones make your list?
